I've always been fascinated with products from far off lands. Coconut sugar held a special fascination for me, both because of its healthier profile as compared to cane sugar, and its incredibly delicious caramel, brown sugar like taste.
But when I saw the opportunity to buy from small farmers in Indonesia, and as a result helping them to become more self-sufficient as well as supporting their traditional communities, I saw a project that I could believe in.
